Katy Yam
Partner at Real Ventures & GM of FounderFuel
Katy is a Partner at Real Ventures and General Manager of FounderFuel, Katy is a multilingual executive with a 20+ year history of managing high-performing product, business intelligence and marketing teams across various public and private industries including venture capital, artificial intelligence, gaming, consumer packaged goods, telecommunications and nonprofits. Katy serves as an independent board member for Loto-Québec (a crown corporation), the MT Lab and Réseau Capital. As an early-stage investor, she sits on several startup boards as a member, observer or advisor. Since 2013, Katy has also led TEDxMontréal, a non-profit dedicated to elevating Montreal-born ideas onto the global TED stage.
Sarah Jenna
Co-founder & CEO of My Intelligent Machines (MIMs)
Sarah Is a Co-founder and the CEO of My Intelligent Machines (MIMs) since 2016. She is a board member of the CQDM, BioQuebec and PINQ2. She is an executive consultant, instructor and coach in different accelerators such as Lab2Market, District3, Techstar, ACET. She obtained her Ph.D. in cell and structural biology from the University Aix-Marseille in south of France in 1998. She did research in cell signaling, genomics and systems biology for 8 years at McGill University and 13 years as a Canada Research Chair in Integrative Genomics and Cell signaling at UQÀM.
Kyle Boulay
Co-founder & former CEO of Bus.com
Kyle is a startup founder and executive coach with a background in interactive multimedia development. He co-founded Bus.com, where he raised over $25 million, and participated in FounderFuel and Y Combinator. After leaving Bus.com in 2020, Kyle received 6 months of executive coach training from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching and joined CORE Sciences, where he coaches founders on creating high-performance environments. Purposeful Founders, a leadership community project by CORE Sciences, is set to launch in 2023.
Therence Bois
Co-Founder & COO of Valence
Therence Bois is a co-founder and COO at Valence Discovery, a next-generation leader in AI-first drug discovery. A biologist by training, Therence was previously pursuing his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Medicine at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) and was part of the founding team at Front Row Ventures, Canada’s first student-run venture capital firm, where he led the first institutional investment into companies like Enuvio and Nomic Biosciences.
