Isaac Olowolafe
General Partner & Co-Founder of BKR Capital
Isaac Olowolafe is the Co-founder & General Partner of BKR Capital, the first institutionally-backed Black-led venture firm in Canada. Before BKR, he was the General Partner of Dream Maker Ventures (DMV) that primarily focused on early-stage Canadian tech companies and invested in a number of regional success stories. Isaac is also an award-winning real estate entrepreneur, angel investor and philanthropist. He supports his community through collaborating with institutional partners on tech and education-related initiatives, and is is a Board Member of SickKids Foundation in Toronto. Through his love of sports, the division for his realty company, Dream Maker Developments, became the jersey sponsor for the Canadian Men’s and Women’s National Basketball Teams from from 2017 to 2020. Isaac received a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Toronto, and is the namesake for the Isaac Olowolafe Jr. Digital Media Experience Lab located within Toronto Metropolitan University’s Student Learning Centre.

Nima Ashtari
Founder of Foresight Analytics
Nima Ashtari is a serial entrepreneur with a background in robotics, applied to the automotive industry. With over 10 years of experience in the auto industry working for companies like Honda, Magna and Tesla, Nima brings his experience in technology to the P&C Insurance space. Nima is a self-taught developer, a mechatronics engineer by education and a leader by practice. His first startup was in the field of after-market autonomous vehicles, X-Matik became the first private entity to test AVs on Ontario roads. Nima is now working on a connected insurance company revolutionizing the way auto insurance is assessed and losses prevented. He is interested in the intersection of AI, robotics and risk, and is motivated by solving big problems.
Jennifer Arnold
Co-Founder & CEO of MinervaA
Jennifer is the co-founder and CEO of Minerva, a RegTech platform that uses AI and automation to improve the efficiency and efficacy of Enhanced Due Diligence, Ongoing Monitoring, and open source searches. Her mission is to help financial institutions and regulators combat money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes with innovative and scalable solutions. She has extensive experience in leading and delivering large-scale Anti-Money Laundering transformation projects, including operating model design, change management, strategy development, and regulatory remediation. She has also specialized in strategic communication counsel, web content, and editorial skills for various sectors and industries. She is a PMP certified project manager, a crisis communication expert, and a published author.
