To celebrate International Women’s Day we invite you to join Cracking the Career Code: Womxn in Tech, an inspiring event to empower you as the future of technology. Hear from womxn leaders in the tech sector to answer your questions, learn from their experiences, and make connections through the workshop hosted by Mentor Canada. Cracking the Career Code celebrates you and the important role you play in building an inclusive space for the technology of today and tomorrow.
WHEN: Friday, March 24th, 2023 from 9:00am - 1:00pm
WHERE: RBC WaterPark Place, Auditorium, 88 Queens Quay W, Toronto
The spotlight event will feature a guest keynote presentation, industry panel discussions, and a mentorship session hosted by Mentor Canada.
There will be tea and coffee as well as a light lunch provided, an opportunity to have professional headshots taken, and other engaging activations.
This event is open to womxn ages 18-29 in the early stages of their career in technology, or interested in pursuing a career in technology. Spots are limited.

Lead Food Materials Scientist at New School Foods
Rebecca Miller, PhD is a Lead Food Materials Scientist at New School Foods (NSF), a Canadian-based startup developing plant-based whole cut meats using a patented new technology. After receiving her PhD in Biophysics from The Scripps Research Institute, Rebecca joined Beyond Meat where she helped bring game-changing products to market for six years before joining NSF. Outside of work, Rebecca is an avid violinist, yogi, and book worm.
Faezeh Khabbaz
Senior Director, Joint Security Operations Centre (JSCO) & Insights & Analytics, RBC Capital Markets
Faezeh Khabbaz is a senior director of analytics at Joint Security Operations Centre (JSOC) at RBC where her team is focused on implementing data science / machine learning solutions to proactively detect Digital and Cyber threats. Prior to that she was the head of data science in RBC Capital Markets, where she led the data science practice focused on leveraging alternative data and data science in Capital Markets Research. Faezeh was awarded Distinguished Engineer by RBC’s Technical distinction program. She has PhD in medical robotics from University of Toronto.
Zaynah Bhanji

Zaynah Bhanji is a student at the University of Waterloo currently studying Systems Design Engineering. She's been supported by and worked with several organizations including Deloitte, CIBC, Ontario Public Service, Microsoft, Wealthsimple, TD Bank, and more. She's interested in solving meaningful problems using new technologies and has worked on projects in the areas of machine learning, virtual and augmented reality, and wearable devices. Zaynah was also named one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2020 by the Women's Executive Network.
